I am a brass and woodwind instrument repairer based in Ramsey, Isle of Man.  I have been professionally trained and have a well equipped, purpose built and fully insured workshop. From a leaky pad or stuck mouthpiece all the way to a full refurbishment, give me a call and I will do everything in my power to get you playing again.  Want to avoid problems with your instrument? Then why not book it in for a service to keep it in tip top playing condition.

  • Where are you based?

    My workshop is based in Ramsey and when you book your instrument in with me I will send you directions of where to find me.

    I am not a shop so please contact me to make an appointment.

  • What are your opening times?

    I am very flexible with working times as my workshop is based in my home.  As a general rule of thumb the only times I am not available are: Monday before 4pm

    Tuesday after 1pm

    Thursday before 3.30pm and after 6.30pm

  • Do you have a list of prices?

    I operate a fair and affordable pricing structure as I firmly believe that music is important and playing an instrument should be affordable for everyone.

    Once I have seen your instrument and assessed the time needed and any parts that may be required I will be able to discuss the cost with you.

  • Do you collect instruments?

    I try to accommodate any request from collection to delivery of your instrument island wide.

  • I've dropped my instrument and I've got a gig at the weekend. Can you help?

    I can most certainly try. I can't guarantee anything because at this point I don't know the extent of the damage but I will do everything in my power to get you playing again in the shortest time possible.

  • I've just bought a used instrument to relearn a lost passion. Can you get it playing?

    I offer everything from a thorough scrub and clean down to a full service to bring your brass or woodwind instrument up to a playable standard. The quality of the instrument can affect the results that are possible, but I would always discuss this with you before commencing any work.

  • Will my instrument be insured whilst with you?

    Yes, your instrument has comprehensive cover whilst in the workshop and being transported during collection and/or drop off.

  • Can you fix any other instruments?

    Whilst I specialise in brass and woodwind instruments I have been known to employ my skills to fix cracked maracas and refurbish glockenspiels, I've even worked on a couple of accordions among other things, so it is always worth getting in touch.


    I do not attempt any work on string instruments, bagpipes or drums but I can recommend people who may be able to help.
